Bess Jeffery

I think it’s interesting to note that Elizabeth (Bessie) Jeffery who once lived in this house with her sisters published a book of poetry “Gentle Sorcery” which can be found in the Ulysses Philomathic Library in Trumansburg.

  1. I lived in this home with my parents, seven sisters and one brother from 1960 to 1969. This was a magical place to live and we all have wonderful memories. I just found out from this blog that as a young boy I used to visit with and run errands for the elderly Bess Jeffrey who once owned this house. At that time I had no knowledge of her past ownership nor did she know that I was living there at the time.
